It turns out that the new tourism slogan for New Jersey selected by acting governer Codey, “New Jersey: Come See For Yourself" , was ripped off from West Virginia. The state already paid an advertising agency $260,000 for another slogan that was rejected by Codey. The cost of Codey's slogan search program is unknown by me at this time. Given the financial condition of this state, how are we going to pay for this? Through further higher education cuts? Through another hospital bed tax? State officials have said they won't pick any of the other four finalists from the contest so it is back to the drawing board.
